The District of Lake Country uses an applicant tracking system for candidates wishing to view available career opportunities and apply for currently posted positions.

Applicants must apply online for posted jobs using our career portal. Everyone who applies is required to create an applicant profile and complete an online application, including answering any pre-screening questions and uploading their resume and cover letter, and any other job specific required documents.  

1. Candidate Screening – Applicants are screened through a series of online questions and a resume and cover letter review.
2. Candidate Assessment – Short-listed applicants are advanced to an assessment phase, which may include skill testing, presentations, and interviews.
3. Background Checks – The top candidate will go through relevant background checks, which may include references, criminal record check and driving record.
4. Employment Offer – The successful candidate will be provided a written offer letter digitally for acceptance.
5. Onboarding – If you accept the employment offer, you will receive an onboarding email to complete new hire paperwork.

We participate in the Municipal Pension Plan, in which eligible employees in the CUPE and Exempt groups are enrolled as described in their relevant collective agreement and policies.
