Building Permits

A building permit is required for any construction, addition, alteration, change of use or demolition of a building or structure. A building permit ensures that construction of a building structure is in adherence to BC Building Code, Building Regulation Bylaw [PDF/1.3MB], Zoning Bylaw [PDF/7MB]and other regulations. Failure to have a building permit can result in costly delays, legal action and/or the removal of work completed.
