When you visit the District of Lake Country website, you are anonymous until you decide to identify yourself to the District. Formal requests under the Act are dealt with by the Corporate Officer and the decision on whether to release information rests with the Head of Information and Privacy.  A formal request is a request in writing for records that are not routinely available.

If you know a formal request is required, submit your request in writing or complete a Freedom of Information Request form. The fees that may be charged for providing records under the Act are set out in BC regulation 155/2012. If there are costs involved in processing a formal request, the applicant may be provided with an estimate before the application is fully processed.
