LIVE! in Lake Country is excited to present The Everly Brothers Experience on Friday, July 12th at Swalwell Park. Sponsored by TD, the second week of LIVE! in Lake Country will feature the musical stylings of Zach and Dylan Zmed and Burleigh Drummond for a night of nostalgic and influential 50’s and 60’s tunes by the Everly Brothers.
Since 2016, the ZMED BROTHERS have celebrated the Everly Brothers’ impressive and extensive career in music by honoring their “iconic sound” and “exploring the important role they played in pioneering the rock n’ roll movement”. Performing to crowds all around the world, The ZMED BROTHERS have brought the pivotal music and history of The Everly Brothers legacy with enthusiasm and passion.
THE ZMED BROTHERS are not only thrilled to be performing The Everly Brothers music, they feel it is an essential duty as brothers and musicians to contribute to a cause that supports the recognition and preservation of the intimate and singular origins of America's greatest Rock n' Roll singing sibling duo.
“The music of the 50’s and 60’s is nostalgic for us, our parents raised us all on it”, explained the ZMED BROTHERS. Their aim is to honour the brotherly legacy all while having fun sharing their own personal story.
Paying homage to their personal roots, with a father, (Adrian Zmed) as a traveling singer/dancer/actor (Grease 2, Bachelor Party, T.J. Hooker), and a mother (Barbara) as a second grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles, the ZMED BROTHERS infuse their performances with a blend of entertainment and contextual education highlighting the career of the Everly brothers while also telling their own story in the music industry and family life.
The Everly brothers' career lasted over half a century, having recorded 21 studio albums, sold more than 60 million records worldwide, and had more than 30 billboard top 100 singles, which still to this day is the record for most billboard charting hits of any sibling rock duo in history. They received numerous accolades in their later career, and influenced countless legendary artists that came after them including The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Bee Gees and more.
Adamant about not being impersonators for the Everly Brothers, but rather musicians who represent the aesthetic and legacy of the brothers’ music, Zach, Dylan and company bring impressive harmonies, fun personalities, and storytelling to every performance.
Come on out to LIVE! in Lake Country Friday July 12, 2024 starting at 7:00 PM to experience a fun night of entertainment and a trip down musical memory lane. Attendees can also support and explore the Lake Country Farmers & Crafters Market at Swalwell Park from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to pick up fresh fruit, produce, prepared food and inspired crafts. Bring a lawn chair and grab snacks on site for an enjoyable summer evening.
