Why

Constructing an EV Charging site in Lake Country in 2024 has been the culmination of many years of effort. The District specifically sought a project model wherein the District could provide the space and a partner would administer the chargers.  The District achieved an operating agreement with BC Hydro early in 2024. The project meets a number of objectives associated to the Climate Action Reserve regarding the funding, and is aligned to Council's Strategic Priorities.
