Zoning Amendment

Council adopted Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1204, 2024 that changes the zoning of a property at 10539 Powley Court and changes the zoning from Low Density Row Housing (RM2) to Low Density Multiple Housing (RM4). The rezoning was required to facilitate a row house development proposal that is in aligned with the Official Community Plan (OCP).

Development Variance Permit

Council approved the Development Variance Permit at 14370 Carrs Landing Road to allow for a “U” shaped dock.

Surplus Allocation 

Council approved the allocation of the 2023 surplus in line with the Reserve Fund Policy for the financial wellbeing of the District and ensure appropriate use of the COVID-19 Safe Restart Grant funds. Surplus details can be found in the Council report.

Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel

Council approved that on May 7th beginning at 4:00 p.m. that the 2024 Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel meet at Municipal Hall.

Integrated Transit Study – Phase 2

Council adopted the Integrated Transit Study Phase 2 be adopted and that recommendations in the Phase 2 study be supported in Phase 3. For more information on the Integrated Transit Study and the various phases visit Let’s Talk – Lake Country.

Lake Country Tourism Strategy

Council adopted the Lake Country Tourism Strategy and directed Staff to research and apply for appropriate grants related to tourism.

Middle Vernon Creek

Council approved additional cost required for completion of work at Middle Vernon Creek.
