OCP Amendment (DP Exemptions) Bylaw 1225, 2024 and OCP Amendment (Subdivision) Bylaw 1226, 2024:

Council adopted the Official Community Plan (OCP) Amendment bylaws that aim to eliminate redundancies in the development approval processes. For full details on the OCP amendments visit Let’s Talk – Lake Country

Development Variance Permit:

Council approved a half-story Development Variance Permit to allow a two-story accessory building for property

at 14650 Carr’s Landing Road.

Agricultural Land Reserve:

Council approved an Agricultural Land Reserve application for the property at 12125 Pow Road to temporarily retain an existing single-family residence during the construction of new single-family home. The application will be forwarded to the Agricultural Land Commission.

Community Hall Capital Grants 2024:

Council approved the following Community Hall Capital Grant Applications:

  • Okanagan Centre Community Hall request in the amount of $17,173;
  • Oyama Community Hall request in the amount of $9,450.00 from Council Contingency;
  • Winfield Memorial Hall total request in the amount of $4575.00 from Community Hall Capital Grant.

BC Transit Annual Operating Agreement 2024-2025:

Council approved the 2024-2025 Annual Operating Agreement between the District of Lake Country and BC Transit, for transit service, for the period April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
