Lake Country, BC – The Lake Country Indoor Children’s Festival is back! After five very successful years, and a three-year break during COVID, organizers are excited to offer this popular festival for families presented by Venture Commercial/Stream Property Partners at the Lake Country Community Complex on Saturday, March 9 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Festival has been expanded into five different sections with vendors, performers, as well as inflatables and a diversity of activities featured so there is something for everyone in the family.

“This year’s feature will be Alex Zerbe the Zaniac in the Creekside Theatre. Since laughter is the best medicine, if you just need a smile to brighten your day, Alex Zerbe – the Zaniac show is one you’ll want to see,” said Cultural Development Coordinator Ryan Donn. “And we know the nerf gun tag area will be hit with kids taking aim against parents. Bouncy castles, Zumba, face painting, henna, Pixie and Dot and 20 different activity booths will ensure there is something for everyone.”

The live entertainment includes two 45-minute performances by Alex Zerbe the Zaniac. A self-described “human cartoon,” his show isnʼt only for the kids in the family. “I try to make my show like the movie Shrek, super entertaining for the kids but there’s a whole other level of comedy for teens and adults,” says Zerbe.

For a suggested $20 donation per family at the door, this event is great value family indoor entertainment while the weather is still cold outside.  Festival fare like popcorn, face painting, henna and creative balloons are always a hit with young ones; and it is great to give everyone in the family some exposure to multi-cultural activities like ‘Try a Turban’; or learn about planting from a local nursery. Family Zumba will be happening 12:15-1:00 pm.

Admission to the Children’s Festival is by donation with all donations going towards sustaining the event. Suggested donation for Admission is: $5/Child, $10 Adult, $20/Family.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 9th and bring the whole family.
