OCP Amendment Bylaw 1247, 2024 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1248, 2024

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 464(1) and 466 of the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will be held for the proposed Official Community Plan Amendment (OPZ00002) Bylaw 1247, 2024 AND Zoning Amendment (OPZ00002) Bylaw 1248, 2024.

WHAT: The purpose of these proposed bylaw amendments is to change the future land use designation of the subject properties (9751 & 9819 Bottom Wood Lake Road) from Service Commercial to High Density Residential, and to rezone the subject properties from I1 – General Industrial to CD14 – Comprehensive Development 14 (Westpoint Apartment Housing) to support a multi-family residential development. 

WHEN: Members of the public can attend the Public Hearing on January 21, 2025 at Lake Country Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road at 7:00 pm.

Any correspondence received in response to this Notice will be distributed to Council and may be included in the Council Agenda package and published on the District of Lake Country.

If you believe your interest in property is affected by the above noted application, you shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing or present a written submission in advance.  Written submissions for a public hearing will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on the date of the Public Hearing.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 464(1) and 466 of the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will be held for the proposed Official Community Plan Amendment (OPZ00003) Bylaw 1249, 2024 AND Zoning Amendment (OPZ00003) Bylaw 1250, 2024.

WHAT: The purpose of these proposed bylaw amendments is to change the future land use designation of the subject properties (see Location Map: OCP Amendment) from Rural Residential to Agricultural; and to rezone the subject properties (see Location Map: Zoning Bylaw Amendment) from A1 – Agriculture, RR1 – Rural Residential 1, and RR2 – Rural Residential 2 to CD13 – Comprehensive Development 13 (O’Rourke Family Vineyard) to support a vineyard, winery, amphitheater/event center, restaurants, tourist accommodation units, and residential uses.
