Beginning March 17, the section of Seaton Road between the Glenmore Booster Station and Read Road will be closed to all traffic. Refer to the map below and please use alternate routes.
What

The Glenmore PRV & Improvements project will see the installation a new section of watermain from the Glenmore Booster Station to Seaton Road.

Additionally, while work is underway in the area, there is an opportunity to restore pavement from Hwy 97 to Dick Rd. The existing pavement surface is deteriorating and needs attention. Although minor road improvements will be included, the resurfacing will primarily focus on renewal of the existing surface.

Why

The watermain installation is required to remove aging infrastructure, including two pressure reducing valve (PRV) stations. Removal of these PRV stations will improve safety and reduce ongoing operational costs.

When

The work is scheduled to begin March 17 depending on weather, and will continue until May 15. Sections of Seaton Road will be closed to all through traffic Monday – Friday between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Paving along the section of Glenmore Road will involve nightly road closures between 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Project costs

$750,000
