As soon as the pre-sale code was available to frequent Creekside Theatre patrons last week, tickets to both nights of the Chantal Kreviazuk performance were selling fast. Creekside Theatre in Lake Country launched a high-calibre 2024 fall season featuring numerous Juno award-winning performers including Ron Sexsmith, Joel Plaskett and Dan Mangan.

Chantal Kreviazuk is well known internationally as a celebrated three-time JUNO Award winner and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. She is a classically trained pianist, actress, movie producer, philanthropist and humanitarian, not to mention being a proud wife and mother of three.  Kreviazuk has recorded 10 albums including a collaboration with her husband, Our Lady Peace frontman, Raine Maida.

“We’ve been privileged to have Chantal Kreviazuk perform for intimate audiences in the Creekside Theatre over the past few years,” said Ryan Donn, Lake Country’s Cultural Development Coordinator.  “She always connects with the audience personally, and each show is unique. Plus, it is nice to be able to offer such a high calibre performance for Okanagan residents for only $69 a ticket.”

“Such an amazing show – my first since the pandemic and Wow did it feel good to hear those vocals live! The songs and stories were just wonderful,” said Kim Silver after attending the Chantal Kreviazuk performance at Creekside Theatre in November 2021.  “My son taught himself piano during the pandemic and this was his first concert – so awesome!!”

If you have been following her career, you know that as a prolific songwriter, Kraviazuk has written global smashes for the likes of Drake, Gwen Stefani, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Avril Lavigne, Shakira, Kelly Clarkson and Kendrick Lamar, to name a few.  But life is not all about entertainment for Kreviazuk and Maida – passionate about helping those in need, in 2014 they were awarded the Order of Canada for their efforts to raise awareness and support for human and animal rights, mental health, education, and the environment.  Kreviazuk has been an ambassador to War Child for more than 20 years and is one of the organization’s founding artists.
