PARCEL TAX REVIEW PANEL

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 204 of the Community Charter, the District of Lake Country will be holding a Review Panel regarding parcel tax assessment rolls. Notices are being sent to registered owners of all properties being added to an assessment roll.

The 2024 Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel will sit at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Hall. You may only make a complaint to the Parcel Tax Review Panel on one or more of the following grounds:

              • there is an error or omission respecting a name or address on the parcel tax roll;

              • there is an error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel;

              • there is an error or omission respecting the taxable area or the taxable frontage of a parcel; or 

              • an exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed. 

A complaint must not be heard by the parcel tax roll review panel unless written notice of the complaint has been given to the municipality before 4:30 p.m. Friday May 3, 2024.  Please address all correspondence to the attention of the Collector by emailing propertytax@lakecountry.bc.ca or delivering written correspondence to 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road, Lake Country, BC V4V 2M1.    

The parcel tax assessment rolls will be available upon request by email starting Monday, April 22, 2024, from the Lake Country Municipal Hall during regular office hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

•    for review at the Municipal Hall Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and statutory holidays

•    by email request @ landadministration@lakecountry.bc.ca

The Council Agenda package including the staff report and documents submitted with the application will be published on the District of Lake Country website by the Wednesday prior to the Regular Council Meeting and no later than Friday prior to the Council Meeting.
