    "Barton Fink" (1991)
"Barton Fink," directed by the Coen Brothers, follows a neurotic New York playwright, Barton Fink, who moves to 1940s Hollywood to write a screenplay. Struggling with writer's block, he checks into the decrepit Hotel Earle, where he encounters strange and increasingly disturbing events. Barton's only solace is his jovial neighbor, Charlie Meadows, but even their friendship takes a dark turn. As Barton becomes more entangled in the bizarre atmosphere of the hotel and the pressures of the Hollywood system, he begins to lose his grip on reality. The film is a darkly comedic exploration of creativity, isolation, and the surreal underbelly of Hollywood.
Cast: John Turturro, John Goodman, Judy Davis, Michael Lerner, Tony Shalhoub, John Mahoney, Steve Buscemi.
