Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 464(3), 464(4), and 467 of the Local Government Act (LGA) that a Public Hearing will not be held for the proposed  Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1268, 2025 

WHAT: Council has been asked to consider a Zoning Amendment application (Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1268, 2025) to allow for a bare land strata subdivision of an existing parcel zoned DC5 – Direct Control 5 (Crystal Waters). The amendment is site specific within the DC5 zone and amends the conditions for Lot 11 by removing the principal use of “two-family residential”, amending the side yard setback from 1.5 metres to 0 metres, amending the minimum lot area from 450 sq metres to 243.3 square metres and amending the maximum lot coverage to remain at the existing 62% coverage permitted coverage for a two-family residential use.

WHEN: Council is scheduled to consider the first, second, and third reading of the bylaw at the March 4, 2025, Regular Council Meeting which will be held at Municipal Hall, 10150 Bottom Wood Lake Road at 7:00 pm.

INFORMATION: The proposed bylaw and relevant information are available at Municipal Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, excluding weekends and statutory holidays or by email request to planning@lakecountry.bc.ca. Any correspondence received in response to this Notice will be distributed to Council and may be included in the Council Agenda package and published on the District of Lake Country website. Written submissions for a public hearing that has been prohibited, will be accepted until 4:30pm on the date the bylaw is presented for third reading. The Council Agenda package will be published on the District of Lake Country website no later than the Friday prior to the Council Meeting and will then be able to read here: view the Agenda Package.

WHAT: Council has been asked to consider a Temporary Use Permit allowing the operation of a home-based automotive and equipment repair shop on the subject property. A Temporary Use Permit may be issued for a maximum period of three years and may be renewed once. After that time, a new Temporary Use Permit may be requested. Council may specify conditions under which the Permit may be carried on.
