    "A Serious Man" (2009)
"A Serious Man," directed by the Coen Brothers, is a dark comedy-drama set in 1967. The film follows Larry Gopnik, a Jewish physics professor in suburban Minnesota, whose life begins to unravel. His wife wants a divorce, his brother is a burden, his children are disrespectful, and his job is at risk. As Larry faces a series of personal and professional crises, he seeks advice from rabbis, hoping to find meaning or solace. However, the answers he receives are either unhelpful or absurd, leaving him to confront his escalating troubles with growing confusion and despair. The film explores themes of faith, fate, and the search for meaning in a seemingly indifferent universe.
